Von Smith on Idol
Finally, we got to see our Von do his thang. My thoughts are this…first half of the song…eh. Second half of the song…that boy blew it out da box!!!…as Randy would say. Von seemed really nervous at first when he walked out on stage, the first to do so for the night. There was a smidge of shaky voice breaking out if you listened closely enough. But then, then he pulled out a little Stevie Wonder-esque styling and bammo I was on board, as was the rest of America we’re hoping. For a few seconds there I gave up on our Show Me state hero. l guess I’ll have to ask his forgiveness when I go back stage at one of his concerts. I definitely took the time to dial 1-866-Idols-01. And you should too.
Oh and let’s not forget the mom and sister, or whoever that other supporter was. I love seeing the family member’s expressions right after the performance. They both looked like they were in the middle of a Pentecostal sermon. Amen for shots of the mommas.
