But only because he’s an Idol face viewers have maybe seen before. Smith appeared with Rosie O’Donnell and the other View ladies back in 2007 after becoming a “YouTube Sensation” — not my words people.  He sits in the company of 10 others this season with some previous claim to fame.  I think some folks are getting there math wrong when it comes to 15 minutes.

Anyhow, our one remaining Missourian on Idol has to sit out another week. We won’t get to see him until the month of March.  The great thing about that is he gets the chance to watch many of those before him crash and burn, making it his competition to win or lose by learning from their mistakes.
